Coopers Fire are seeking a CAD Technician as we take on interesting large-scale projects. Working on technically complex and challenging projects within the building industry, CAD Technician will be involved in project technical drafting as well as collaboration with relevant team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create high-quality technical drawings of Fire / Smoke Curtains (plans, sections & details) based on drawings supplied by client and information supplied by survey and make modifications to existing drawings
Create schematic diagrams required for Fire / Smoke Curtain project
Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
Provide drawing register and schedule that aligns with the project requirements
Liaise with architects, engineers, designers, Project Managers and other relevant individual (via email or Teams meeting) to understand the design requirements
Ensure drawings are compliant with industry standards and protocols
Able to explore, upload and download files to & from collaborative sites/CDE (Asite, V4P, Aconex, etc.)
Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to identify any errors or discrepancies
Communicate effectively with team Lead, Project Managers or client to ensure project deadlines are met
Job requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Extensive knowledge in utilising AutoCAD software
(At least 3 year experience Preferred)
Experience with different collaborative sites (Asite, V4P, Aconex etc.)
(Basic training will be provided if required)
Able to read Architectural / Construction drawings
Able to read survey data
Able to produce Construction drawings
(At least 3 year experience Preferred)
Knowledge in building Construction materials
Highly detail-oriented / Attention to detail
