We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end supply chain operations with a key focus on the implementation and optimisation of SAGE 200. This role is critical in aligning procurement, supplier management, and inventory processes with strategic business goals. It will play a pivotal role in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and delivering measurable KPIs across the supply chain.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the implementation and integration of SAGE 200 across all supply chain functions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and minimal disruption to operations.

  • Oversee and optimise procurement and purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance reviews, contract negotiations, and risk assessments.

  • Define and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain functions including procurement efficiency, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost savings.

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, production, and logistics teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution.

  • Analyse supply chain data and trends to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, supplier management, and inventory control.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Manage and mentor the supply chain team, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.

  • Ensure correction of ISO9001:2015 Supply Chain procedures & adherence to procedure.

  • Coordinate annual stock takes and report on outcomes

Job requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with SAGE 200 ERP implementation and optimisation is essential.

  • Strong background in ERP systems and supply chain digital transformation.

  • Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive results.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Track record of achieving and reporting on supply chain KPIs.

  • Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field (CIPS preferred

  • Experience of converting a supply base to Kanban with supplier stock holding

Desirable

  • Manufacturing, construction or fire related industry

  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.

  • Project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies

  • People management experience

  • High level of IT/ERP skill (Advanced Excel, SQL/ODBC, Sage50, Sage200)
